Are you an Associate Investment Advisor or Planner in search of a fulfilling and rewarding career to build your advisory business? We are looking for a self-motivated individual with possible entrepreneurial drive with the ability to work independently with minimal supervision who is part of a larger team. As an Associate Investment Advisor, with your ability as an associate portfolio manager to provide certain investment services at QVest, you can help clients reach their goals and provide your personal touch in a high touch service industry. Key responsibilities:

  • Lean on QVest’s depth of industry experience, talent and innovations to assist our Investment Advisor’s client base of high-net-worth individuals, families and business owners and assist in the management of their complex financial needs.
  • Assist our portfolio managers in creating customized portfolios and wealth plans for our clients.
  • Foster trusted, often multi-generational, long-term relationships using personalized service and advice.
  • Work with QVest partners such as insurance and tax matters, to ensure our clients are supported in all aspects of their financial lives.

Qualifications and experience:

  • 3+ years of outbound sales experience with a proven track record.
  • Completion of the Canadian Securities Course (CSC) or will do so prior to your start
  • date.
  • Professional certifications such as Conduct and Practices Handbook (CPH), Personal
  • Financial Planner (PFP), Chartered Investment Manager (CIM) and Chartered
  • Financial Analyst (CFA) are preferred.
  • Experience in a direct marketing role and financial services is an asset.
  • Thorough understanding and adherence to regulatory compliance requirements,
  • including up-to-date maintenance of Know Your Client (KYC) profiles, and support for Anti-Money Laundering (AML), Know Your Product (KYP) and client suitability assessments.
  • Strong knowledge of brokerage, financial planning, wealth management and investment environments.
  • Passion for financial planning and a strong interest in portfolio management.
  • Exceptional relationship-building skills with the ability to connect effectively with
  • diverse individuals.
  • Proficiency in implementing well-planned investment strategies, leveraging both
  • proprietary investment vehicles and third-party funds and securities.
  • Proactive networking abilities to identify and capitalize on business development
  • opportunities.
  • Willingness and capability to become registered with relevant regulatory bodies
  • overseeing QVest.
